Our Hostel Rooms
The accommodation is housed in three of the old military barracks of the Lotta School at Bunge Airfield, a place rich in history and charm. The hostel has rooms with 1–5 beds. Showers and toilets are located in the corridor. There is a guest kitchen in each building and a common room with a TV. We have a total of thirty hostel rooms.
Facilities and Surroundings
A breakfast buffet is served during the summer season, and the reception is staffed during breakfast hours. From the terrace at the main building, you have a beautiful view of the sea, where you can see Bungenäs to the east, the Furillen peninsula to the southwest, and Ängeviken to the south.
Bunge Hostel is located near the community of Fårösund, where you’ll find grocery stores, cafés, and restaurants. We are also neighbors with the Bunge Museum, one of Sweden’s largest open-air museums. The accommodation is a perfect starting point for excursions across Northern Gotland and Fårö.

Things to See and Do
Bunge Hostel is an excellent choice for those who want to explore Northern Gotland and Fårö. For the adventurous, there is the option to rent bikes or kayaks and paddle along Gotland’s unique coastline. From Fårösund, you can easily take the free car ferry to Fårö, where you can experience fantastic natural attractions such as the famous sea stacks and unique hiking trails. There are expansive sandy beaches, and you can visit the Bergman Center.
We are also neighbors with the Bunge Museum, one of Sweden’s largest open-air museums, where you can travel back in time and discover Gotland’s cultural history.
For those seeking excitement, Gotland’s Trampoline Park is nearby, perfect for both children and adults who want to jump and have fun. If you prefer a more relaxing experience, you can take a trip to the upcoming National Park, where you can hike in untouched nature and enjoy the wild beauty of Northern Gotland.
Another popular destination is the Blue Lagoon, where you can swim in the crystal-clear water of an old limestone quarry. Not far away are the limestone quarries at Smöjen, offering a perfect place for swimming and relaxation in a beautiful environment.
No trip to Northern Gotland is complete without a visit to the Lergrav sea stack area, known for its unique geology and the famous “Lovers’ Gate,” a natural limestone sculpture shaped by the forces of nature.

Our reception is unstaffed and offers self-service for smooth check-in and check-out. Our studios are open all year round.
