Bunge Hostel is run by the hosts Anki and Micke Boman together with their three sons. Anki is actively involved in local activities and events, both through her work and her volunteer engagement. Her passion for meeting people ensures that every visitor feels seen and welcomed. Micke shares this commitment and is also a dedicated nature lover who happily shows visitors the best of Gotland’s unique landscape. During the summers, the children also help with the business, adding to the family-friendly atmosphere.
The Boman family not only runs Bunge Hostel but is also actively engaged in developing Fårösund and the local community. They have been involved in several projects to improve the living and working conditions in Northern Gotland. They also run the trampoline park in Fårösund, which is a popular attraction for both locals and visitors.
For those looking to explore Gotland’s natural treasures, Bunge Hostel offers bike tours, kayaking in scenic surroundings, and hiking in the upcoming national park. Anki and Micke are also active in Fgoik-Fårösunds Gymnastik och Idrottsklubb (the local sports club) and KUNO-Kulturförening Norra Gotland (a local cultural association).

The facility has an interesting and rich history dating back to World War II when it was built as a military airbase.
