A Facility with an Exciting History

The facility known today as Bunge Hostel has a fascinating and rich history dating back to World War II. The site was originally built as an airbase for the military during the war years. It was home to the Women’s Auxiliary Air Corps School (1962–1991) at the Bunge Airfield. The facility has been renovated while retaining features from when the airfield was active.
